Tell me what you're procrastinating on, and I'll tell you what you're afraid of

March 29, 2023

If you're like I used to be, there's a list of things you KNOW you should be doing to help your mental and physical well-being. But you're not doing them, are you? Here's the thing, when you procrastinate on creating a mindfulness practice that works for you, that helps to ground, centre, calm yourself, you are making EVERYTHING inherently harder to do for the rest of the day.

If you want to...

  • stop feeling like you never get sh!t done

  • have more time to do the things you like to

  • improve the quality of the work that you do

  • stop missing opportunities to learn new skills/hobbies

  • improve your self esteem

  • stop missing deadlines

Then try to...

  • Set goals to help you stay motivated (the S.M.A.R.T acronym exists for a reason)

  • Prioritize tasks based on importance and urgency

  • Create a weekly to-do list that outlines the tasks for the week (this is one of my most productive method I use and that I teach to my clients)

  • Solve for focus by minimizing whatever you're distracted by

  • Incentivize with a reward system

  • Get some accountability - sharing your goals/tasks with a mentor or coach, or joining a mastermind group

  • Get to the root of the underlying fear around doing those tasks (click here for that worksheet)
