Weekly Practice
Week of February 2, 2026
Orientation & Safety
Returning to Yourself
This first week is not about doing anything differently.
It’s about learning how to be with yourself, before the reflex to fix, push, or override kicks in.
Most of us have been living in response mode for a long time.
Responding to expectations.
Responding to urgency.
Responding to internal pressure we don’t always recognize as pressure.
So when you slow down, even slightly, you may notice things you’ve been moving too fast to feel.
That’s not a sign you’re doing this wrong.
That’s the practice working.
What This Week Is Really About
Week 1 is about orientation.
Orientation to:
your body as a source of information
your nervous system as adaptive, not broken
awareness as the starting point for real change
Nothing needs to be fixed yet.
If you notice tension, restlessness, emotion, or even boredom, that’s data. Write it down!
If you notice relief, softness, or clarity, that’s data too.
The practice is simply learning how to notice without making it mean something.
How to Use the Practice This Week
You’ll find two pieces for this week:
the private teaching podcast
the daily anchor breathwork
I recommend listening to the podcast once, then letting it settle.
For the breathwork, this is a daily practice, not because more is better, but because consistency builds safety.
If possible, press play on the breath recording once a day, around the same time.
This breath is not meant to take you somewhere else.
It’s meant to help you:
land in your body
discharge excess stress
practice staying with yourself
Some days it may feel grounding.
Some days it may feel uneventful.
Some days it may bring awareness to something uncomfortable.
What to Pay Attention To
Rather than tracking outcomes, I want you to get into the practice of noticing:
when you rush without realizing it
when your body tightens before you speak or respond
when you override a need out of habit
You don’t need to change any of it yet.
Simply noticing is enough.
That moment of awareness, before the pattern completes, is where choice begins to emerge.
Sharing Wins, Insights, or “Oh, That’s Interesting” Moments
You are not meant to do this in isolation.
If something lands for you this week, a small shift, a moment you caught yourself, an insight, or even a question, I’d love for you to share it with me.
The best way to do that is by emailing me directly at powellchelsea02@gmail.com or reaching out on Instagram @thedeliberateone.
This doesn’t need to be polished or profound.
Sometimes it’s as simple as:
“I noticed I was rushing without realizing it.”
“I paused instead of pushing and it felt unfamiliar.”
“Nothing dramatic changed, but I felt less reactive.”
Naming what you’re noticing helps anchor the practice more deeply.
It also helps me support you in a way that’s responsive and real and informs how I shape future teachings so they meet you where you actually are.
If you ever share something you’d be open to me quoting anonymously or with credit, you can let me know. I’ll always ask before sharing anything publicly.
