Midweek Reset:
Stop Waiting, Start Living
Ever catch yourself saying…
“I’ll feel better once I figure things out.”
“I just need more time to get clear.”
“I’ll start when I feel ready.”
But here’s the truth: Clarity doesn’t come before action. It comes because of it.
We spend so much time waiting—for the perfect moment, the perfect plan, the perfect feeling of readiness. I talk about this at length in an episode of The Deliberate Exchange Podcast (listen here).
But what if the shift you’re craving doesn’t happen in the waiting? What if it happens in the doing?
The Fastest Way to Get Unstuck
When I feel lost, stuck, or overwhelmed, I use this really simple exercise. Grab your journal and a pen, find a quiet space, take a few breaths..:
1. Ask Yourself: What Would My Future Self Want Me to Do?
Now imagine the version of you who has already figured it out, stepped up, and made the change. What would she tell you to do next?
~ Would she tell you to take the first step regardless of how messy it is?
~ Would she tell you to stop overcomplicating things?
~ Would she remind you that the only way to get where you want to go is to actually begin?
Write down whatever comes up—don’t filter it, don’t overthink it.
2. Take One Tiny Action Right Now.
Not tomorrow. Not next week. Right now.
~ Take a walk to clear your mind.
~ Read one page of the book that’s been sitting on your shelf.
~ Text the friend you’ve been meaning to reach out to.
~ Write down one small promise to yourself and keep it.
It doesn’t matter what you do—it only matters that you break the pattern of waiting and step into movement.
3. Remember: Energy Creates Clarity.
You don’t need to know exactly where you’re going. You just need to shift your energy.
And the fastest way to do that? Move. Breathe. Do something different.
You Are One Shift Away from a Breakthrough
What’s the next move? Not the perfect one, not the most strategic one—just the next one.
~ Your future self is cheering you on.
~ The version of you who has already grown through this is waiting on the other side.
~ And the only way to meet her… is to begin.
So tell me—what’s one small step you’re taking today? Hit reply and let me know. I’d love to cheer you on.
Breathe it in, Be Deliberate, and Please be good to yourself.
